Bill Albertini retired in 1999 after a 33-year career in telecommunications with Bell Atlantic and its predecessor organizations, the Bell System and AT&T. From 1991 - 1999, Mr. Albertini served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Bell Atlantic Corporation and from 1995 - 1999 served as a member of its Board of Directors. Prior to his appointment as CFO, Mr. Albertini served as Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Bell Atlantic Enterprises where he directed all of Bell Atlantic's unregulated businesses including its domestic and international wireless operations, real estate, financial services and its computer leasing business. Mr. Albertini currently sits on the boards of American Water Works, Triumph Group Incorporated, Black Rock Mutual Funds, and the Midwest Independent Transmission Service Operator. He also serves as a trustee of the Weller Foundation and as President of the Eagles Mere Foundation. Mr. Albertini received a BS degree from the University of Notre Dame, an MBA from Lehigh University and an MS in Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Tom Duesterberg is the President and CEO of the Manufacturers Alliance (MAPI), a policy research organization with over 450 member companies including leaders in electronics, telecommunications, computers, aerospace and other high tech industries. Prior to joining MAPI, Dr. Duesterberg was the Director of the Washington office of the Hudson Institute. From 1989 - 1993, Dr. Duesterberg served as the US Assistant Secretary of Commerce for International Economic Policy, where he was responsible for worldwide trade and investment issues, trade promotion, and advocacy programs to assist US exporters and investors. Dr. Duesterberg also served as chief of staff to Congressman Chris Cox from 1994-1996 and was chief of staff to Senator Dan Quayle for the 5 years prior to Senator Quayle's election as Vice President of the United States. Dr. Duesterberg has been published widely including two books. His most recent book was on the subject of competition and deregulation in the telecommunications industry. His op-ed pieces appear frequently in the Financial Times, New York Times and Wall Street Journal. Dr. Duesterberg graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University and received an MA and a PhD from Indiana University. He has taught at Stanford University and Indiana University. Mickey Feldman is Counsel to Dilworth, Paxson LLP, one of Philadelphia's leading law firms. For over 30 years, he has served as outside counsel to a number of major corporations and has advised clients based outside the US on their investments in the US. Mr. Feldman specializes in finance, corporate and real estate law. He serves as an Overseer of the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also an emeritus trustee of Chestnut Hill Hospital. He was the chairman of the Membership Committee of the Union League of Philadelphia and a member of the Pennsylvania Republican State Finance Committee. Mr. Feldman is a graduate of the Wharton School (BS) and the Law School (JD) of the University of Pennsylvania. Based in Toronto, John Gaitanakis is focused on residential in-fill developments. Prior to this, Mr. Gaitanakis was a Managing Director and the Head off West Coast Mergers & Acquisitions at San Francisco-based Prudential Volpe Technology Group (formerly known as Volpe Brown Whelan & Company). Mr. Gaitanakis has successfully completed over 45 transactions, totaling over US$4 billion in consideration paid and including transactions up to US$1.1 billion in value. He has experience in diverse transaction types including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and shareholder rights plans. He focuses on software, hardware, Internet, new media, security and service sectors. Prior to joining Prudential Volpe Technology Group, Mr. Gaitanakis worked in New York and London for Broadview Associates, a technology-focused mergers and acquisitions advisory firm. Mr. Gaitanakis is a graduate of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Based in Bangkok, Tim Kirkwood is presently the Managing Director of SPO Partners - Asia Ltd., a private equity partnership with investments in media & telecommunication, natural resources, and luxury hotels. Prior to joining SPO Partners in 1997, Mr. Kirkwood was an Associate in the Emerging Markets Group of Wasserstein Perella & Co., a New York based investment bank. In this capacity Mr. Kirkwood provided M&A advisory services to several major international media conglomerates and developed expertise related to funding and distribution strategies for niche television networks. Mr. Kirkwood was born and raised in Asia and speaks Japanese and Thai. Mr. Kirkwood holds degrees in Japanese and Business Administration from the University of Texas in Austin. Frank Martin has been the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, the largest American business association outside the United States, since 1990. The AmCham appointment followed a 25-year career with Security Pacific National Bank where he was responsible for Security Pacific's operations in Asia. Mr. Martin's assignments included 14 years as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Canton. He has served on boards of numerous non-profit organizations including: Boy Scouts of America, Inland Revenue Review Board (Hong Kong's Internal Revenue Service), and the Asia-Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce. He is a past president of the American Club, a founding member of the Hong Kong America Center, a member of the Appointments Board of the Chinese University and a member of the Hong Kong Ethics Development Advisory Committee. Mr. Martin currently serves as a Non-Executive Chairman of QBE Insurance (Hong Kong) Ltd, and a Director of Arts Optical Manufactory Ltd. He and his wife Noriko, have been residents in Hong Kong since 1976. Sudhanshu Sarronwala is the Chief Executive Officer of Soundbuzz.com, an Asian-based internet company focusing on music. Mr. Sarronwala is a media executive with over 15 years of experience in managing media businesses in Asia. Before joining Soundbuzz.com, he served as Managing Director and Senior Vice President of MTV Asia and was responsible for all aspects of MTV's operations in Southeast Asia. Prior to this, he served in a similar capacity in India - running MTV's extensive operations there. Mr. Sarronwala ran MTV Asia's marketing and communications division from MTV's relaunch in 1995 through 1998. As such, he is given much of the credit for MTV's stunning growth and popularity - especially in key markets such as India, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. Before joining MTV, he was Vice President, Marketing for Pacific Century Group, overseeing marketing communications and involved with the development of Pacific Century's satellite products and market development in ASEAN and India. Mr. Sarronwala was also General Manager for Consumer Marketing for STAR TV from 1991 - 1994 and responsible for all consumer advertising and promotions for the network. Mr. Sarronwala has additional experience working for the Gillette Company and J. Walter Thompson.
