Webcasting is the process of delivering audio and video (or radio and TV) over the Internet. This allows viewers to watch or listen to a show at their computer by using a media player such as RealPlayer from Real Networks or Windows Media Player from Microsoft.

Step 1: B2Bcast sends of team of broadcast professionals to cover your event. Step 2: The film is then post produced, edited and finally encoded so that it can be placed on the Internet. Step 3: The encoded webcast is then placed on a server - either a client's server or the B2Bcast server.

Step 4 (continued): …from the B2Bcast website.
Step 4: Users access the webcast either from a client's website, or…

One of the main advantages that webcasting has over traditional broadcasting is the ability for viewers to access webcasts on-demand. Users can view webcasts anytime they want, as long as they have a computer, Internet connection and a media player. Clicking on the show's link launches the show, which is then "streamed" or broadcasted to the viewer via their computer.

To enjoy webcasting, you will need:

Computer with at least 166MHz processor

Internet connection speed at least 28.8k for audio only, 56k for audio and video. Viewing is enhanced by a broadband connection, but broadband is NOT a prerequisite for viewing webcasts

Web browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer (version 4.0 or better)

The latest version of a media player such as RealPlayer or Windows Media Player

Sound card

Video card
